indirect questions

Közvetett kérdések ( Indirect questions):

A közvetett kérdések szórendje különbözik az egyenes kérdés (direct question) szórendjétől, vagyis a közvetett kérdések szavai úgy következnek egymás után, mint egy állításban: alany + ige ( + tárgy). Közvetett kérdésekben nem használunk segédigét.

Többféleképpen vezethetjük be a közvetett kérdéseket:
Pld. Do you think.? ( = Úgy gondolod, hogy.?)
Do you know if.? ( = Tudja, hogy.?)
Can you remember.? ( = Emlékszik, hogy.?)
Could you tell me.? ( = Meg tudná mondani.?)

I was wondering. (=Kíváncsi elnnék arra, hogy.)

I'd like to know. (=szeretném tudni, hogy)

1. ha van kérdőszó az egyenes kérdésben, a közvetett kérdésben is ugyanaz lesz a kérdőszó:

Egyenes kérdés (Direct question):
What's the time?

Közvetett kérdés (Indirect question):
Could you tell me what the time is?

2. ha nincs kérdőszó az egyenes kérdésben, a közvetett kérdésben if vagy whether szóval pótoljuk ezt:

Egyenes kérdés (Direct question):
Has the last bus gone?

Közvetett kérdés (Indirect question):
Do you know if / whether the last bus has gone? ( = Meg tudná mondani, hogy elment-e az utolsó busz?)
